Members of SOCOM Team Prepare for Warrior Games at EXOS
The Warrior Games, which is an inter-military athletic competition among wounded and injured members of the U.S. military branches, is set to take place September 28th - October 4th. In preparation of the event, 32 warrior athletes who will be representing the SOCOM team (Special Operations Command), recently took part in a one-week training camp at EXOS.
The training camp focused on performance training, nutrition, and recovery strategies that will help the athletes maximize their performance in the various events at the Warrior Games.
“It was a great experience, both for the warrior athletes and our team,” said Alex Lincoln, vice president of elite business development at EXOS. “The opportunity to support these brave men and women who have given so much to our country, and to see them pushing each other as they prepare as a team for the Warrior Games was inspiring, and we look forward to seeing their hard work pay off.”
In addition to the training camp at EXOS, EXOS training and nutrition specialists will also be attending the Warrior Games to continue supporting the SOCOM team as they finish their training and compete.
The 86 athletes put in many top performances at the combine, including breaking a world record.
EXOS performance specialist Benjamin Kugel used lessons from working with the German national team to help FC Köln excel.
Complimentary workouts and lunch-and-learn events are scheduled to celebrate the new Core Performance training space.
