Athletes’ Performance and adidas Educate MLS Coaches on miCoach Elite Team System
Athletes’ Performance and adidas recently hosted staff from every MLS team at the Athletes’ Performance facility in Phoenix, Ariz., to educate coaches on how to best utilize the new adidas miCoach elite team system that will be introduced league wide in 2013.
The adidas miCoach elite team system is a performance metric tracking system that tracks speed, distance, heart rate, acceleration, and deceleration, among other factors, through a small data cell that players wear in an adidas TechFit base layer.
Coaches can then track data in real-time on an iPad and use the information to monitor each player’s physical performance throughout practices and games and create customized training and recovery plans.
Athletes’ Performance specialists have been working with adidas to help develop and launch the miCoach elite team system. To learn more about the system, read this story from Pros2Preps.com, watch the below video, or check out photos of the education sessions.
